SYSTEMATIC REVIEW: ANAPLASTIC LARGE CELL LYMPHOMA FOLLOWING BREAST IMPLANT SURGERY

Highlights: BIA-ALCL, a T-cell lymphoma associated with breast implants, is posing growing medical challenge due to the increasing use of implants for cosmetic and reconstructive purposes The majority BIA-ALCL cases were reasons textured predominantly implicated. Result: 11 relevant articles assessed. total 353 have been reported. mean age at diagnosis 59.6 years. More than half (53.26%) in patients cosmetic. time from placement 9.99 (71.39%) documented devices. mainly presented seroma (54.67%). Outcomes included remission (71%), death because disease (4.25%), recurrence (3.96%) duration follow-up 2.53 Conclusion: rare cancer some but incidence largely consistent long-term follow-up. It important physicians involved care be aware do routine exams.
